The Difference Between Gorilla Hammers And Our Competitors

The hydraulic hammer market is highly competitive, as there are so many manufacturers, distributors, and dealers. Are they hydraulic breaker specialists, or do they just sell a few? Is their sales staff specially trained to put the right hoe ram in your hands? Have they invested in the service team to guide you through getting the product appropriately installed and the stock required to be ready with parts and tools when the time comes? A hydraulic breaker is a significant investment and must consider all of these questions during the research process. Continue reading to discover what helps Gorilla Hammers stand apart.

Over 75 Years in Business

Gorilla Hammers has been in business for over 75 years. Originally referred to as the Tedesco Pump Service, Gorilla Hammers has been in operation since 1938-and repairing hydraulic hammers since they became prevalent in the late 70s and early 80s. Over the years, we have grown from a “one-man-band” operating out of a basement to a team of 14 employees dedicated to serving your hydraulic hammer needs. With this solid foundation, we’ll be there to support you and our hydraulic breaker products for years to come.

A Foundation of Service

We fully invested in a service team and facility dedicated solely to hydraulic hammer repair, unlike many hammer vendors. Our Gorilla Team™ repairs, services, and installs hydraulic breakers on carriers all day, every day. With over $300,000 worth of hammer repair equipment, including nitrogen kits, specialized service tools, and the latest in hydraulic, pneumatic, and battery-powered torque technology, our team is provided with all they need to get your hammer repaired safely and quickly and correctly.

Unmatched Experience and Resources

Gorilla has a plethora of resources to help you better understand, identify, and overall increase your experience with us. We have a hydraulic hammer reference guide, attachment sizing guide, hammer sizing guide, usage guide, storage guide, tool bits reference guide, and other industry-related articles. More importantly, our sales staff is specially trained to get you the correct breaker for your skid steer, backhoe, or excavator-and just as important-set up your skid steer, backhoe, or excavator for optimum performance and longevity. Our Hammer Advisors™ have over 85 years of combined hydraulic breaker experience. We know what hydraulic hammer will perform adequately on the carrier without overtaxing it, the capabilities of each hydraulic breaker in our line, and how it will perform in your demolition, underground utility, site work, bridge deck, or quarry application.

A Field-Tested, Proven Hydraulic Breaker

Over the last 20 years, we’ve learned something by putting thousands of hydraulic hammers into service for our customers. We began with research, considering all of the best and worst features of the hydraulic breakers that we serviced over the years. We emerged with a final design that allowed maximum impact yet was simple, reliable, and easy to service. We tested it in the worst of conditions-rental-and put it to work in the hardest seamless blue granite in New England. We are continually making improvements to our design in response to customer needs and feedback. The result is a hydraulic hammer that is “quarry proven” ™, designed to run 8 hours a day, five days a week, and trusted by quarries, major excavator manufacturers, and rental houses.

24-Hour Parts Availability

If you can’t get the part shipped the same day, you are not ready to support a hydraulic hammer line. At Gorilla, we understand the urgency of demolition, underground utility, quarry, and mining work and pledge to have the wear part or demolition tool on the shelf to support your hydraulic breaker the day you need it. If you are shopping for a hoe ram elsewhere, ask their parts department what parts they have in stock for the model you consider before buying.

Unmatched Customer Loyalty

Over 95% of our Gorilla Hydraulic Breaker sales come from existing customers looking to add to their fleet or referrals from those same existing owners. We have continuously operated on the premise that a customer relationship must be treated as a temporary one, lasting only as long as their hydraulic hammer concerns are treated with a sense of urgency.
